情報科学芸術大学院大学開学前後の経緯とその未来を考察する History of IAMAS and its Future 坂根, 厳夫 175 サカネ, イツオ DA00376571 Sakane, Itsuo Media Art Information technology Art and Science From April 1st, 2014, IAMAS school will move from its place at Ryokecho to the Softopia Japan Center in the same city. As I had worked as a first president at IAMAS from 1996 till 2003,I would tell about the background of IAMAS and its future. The original idea of IAMAS itself was proposed by the Governor Taku Kajiwara of Gifu Prefecture, after he became the Governor in 1990 through the election. It was one of his important proposals to make his Prefecture as an information-oriented prefecture. And IAMAS was one of his major ideas to make his dream realize while he works as a Governor. After several meetings for setting its major context and contents of IAMAS by the planning staffs’ committee members, I was asked to be the president at IAMAS in 1995 from the Governor and the committee members.
